Heat Pump Water Heater Rebate

Water heating accounts for 15-20% of energy use in homes with electric water heaters. Some new electric heat pump (or hybrid) water heaters have demonstrated savings of up to 50% or more. Not all homes are well suited for a heat pump water heater, though, so before you make the switch, talk to a contractor or call our Energy Experts at (888) 883-9879 to discuss the things you should consider.

Limit one rebate per site. The rebate will not exceed 100% of the total heat pump water heater cost and does not cover installation costs.

For site-built or manufactured homes, must replace an existing electric storage water heater; qualified models only.

To be eligible for a rebate, the unit must replace an existing electric water heater and be installed by a contractor who has attended a Smart Water Heat orientation.
