Lending a Helping Hand

Many Central Lincoln customers need help paying their electric bills each month for various reasons. We have several energy assistance programs, and although they are open for donations year-round, December is the month we’re most frequently asked, “How can I help?”

Secret Helpers

Do you have a family member, friend, or neighbor struggling financially? You can help through our Secret Helpers program. To donate, mail a check, as well as a note with the name and physical address of the Central Lincoln customer you wish to help to:

Please include your phone number in case we need additional information. You can also drop off a donation check and note at one of our office locations.

Project Care

Our Project Care program has multiple donation options, and all funds go to local service agencies for distribution to qualifying Central Lincoln customers.

One-Time Donation: Write the amount you wish to donate in the ‘Project Care Donation’ box on your electric bill remittance stub. Add your donation amount to the amount due and write a check for the total. If you prefer to donate through a separate check, please make the check payable to ‘Project Care.’

Round-Up: Each month, your electric bill will be rounded to the next dollar amount. For example, a bill of $78.54 will be rounded up to $79, and the extra 46¢ goes directly to Project Care. To sign up for Round-Up, please call us at 877-265-3211 or email customersvc@cencoast.com.

This option is unavailable to customers participating in Budget Billing or Prepaid.

Monthly Pledge: Select an amount you would like to donate each month, and we will automatically add that amount to your monthly bill. To sign up, call us at 877-265-3211 or email customersvc@cencoast.com.
