Randy Grove Joins Central Lincoln Board of Directors

Randy Grove is a familiar face to many in Central Lincoln’s service area. After a 36-year career with the utility, he has returned in a new capacity. On August 20, Randy was sworn in as the newest member of Central Lincoln’s board of directors, representing Subdivision 2: Depoe Bay, Lincoln Beach, Otter Rock, Toledo, and Siletz.

Randy began his career at Central Lincoln in 1985 as an energy management consultant. Over the decades, he served in a wide range of roles — from distribution engineering technician, to systems engineering, to operations supervisor for the north division, to director of operations, and later director of engineering and operations. His last three years were spent leading the district as general manager. “It was a long and varied career that kept me interested and engaged,” Randy reflected. “I really enjoyed my time at Central Lincoln.”

When a recent board vacancy arose, Randy decided to pursue the appointment. “I felt like my experience in the business might be beneficial to Central Lincoln and the customers we serve.”

For Randy, the values of public power are clear: “Affordable rates, great reliability, and great customer service.”

Now, as he steps into his new role, Randy says he is most excited about the chance to reconnect: “I’m looking forward to re-engaging with Central Lincoln employees and customers. It’s always been an interesting business to me.”
