Time is Running Out to Sign Up for Budget Billing

Imagine being able to budget the same amount every month for your Central Lincoln bill – that’s what Budget Billing offers. When you sign up, you’ll receive an amount you’ll be billed every month for a year, based on your past electricity use. Budget Billing participants pay a bit more than the cost of the power they use in warmer months, building up extra funds to cover fall and winter’s higher bills. The deadline to sign up is June 30, and sign-ups won’t open again until next year in April.

Who can sign up for Budget Billing? Residential customers who have lived at the same address for a year or more, and have a good payment history. And they must begin with a $0 balance.

How to sign up? Call us – Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. – at 877-265-3211 and press 3 to speak with a Customer Service Representative.

Our Customer Service Supervisor McKenzie Kramer recommends Budget Billing combined with AutoPay, which authorizes us to charge a credit or debit card, or use a bank account to pay a customer’s bill automatically each month. Adding paperless billing completes her wish list – electronic billing through our secure online system. “Budget Billing, AutoPay, and Paperless – I think that is a trifecta customers could really enjoy!” she says. “No paper mess, no worries about paying late, and the same amount each month can be really convenient.”
