Public Power Week, celebrated the first full week in October every year, is an opportunity to highlight the benefits of community-owned, locally-controlled electric utilities like Central Lincoln. Each community-owned utility decides how it wants to highlight Public Power Week. This year, Central Lincoln will be celebrating all month!
We will be:
- Serving coffee and cookies to customers in our Florence, Newport, and Reedsport offices during the week of October 5-9
- Collecting food for the hungry for food pantries and nonprofits from our local offices – please donate canned and nonperishable foods if you can at our Florence, Reedsport, and Newport offices
- An “I Know My Central Lincoln!” quiz and contest – customers who answer seven or more questions about Central Lincoln correctly will be entered in a drawing to win a free iPad mini! Details at clpud.org/ipad-drawing and entry forms will be in Central Lincoln billing envelopes this month
- Our board members will be submitting “Letters to the Editor” talking about the benefits of Public Power
